Tim Smith, the owner, is a master chimney sweep. He has been servicing chimneys full time since 1984. He is a Certified Chimney Sweep (since 1985) with the Chimney Safety Institute of America (#1266). He has extensive training in chimney physics (house pressures and chimney performance problems). Tim has undergone gas appliance training, installation and troubleshooting, by the Chimney Safety Institute of America, and gas technician testing by the National Fireplace Institute. Tim has had hundreds of hours of training in many fields, relating to, and surrounding, chimneys, vents, fireplaces, woodstoves, and masonry as well as the diagnosis and repair of these areas. He has worked as an instructor training new sweeps from around the country, and is a leading authority on chimneys. He has been featured and interviewed as an authority in several training videos, reports, as well as local and national publications, such as Today.com. Mr. Smith is also a past president of the Indiana Chimney Sweep Guild.
